Can Ducklings eat chick starter

What an exciting day, first we have chickens in the incubator hatching, and now my neighbor just came over and showed me a pile of ducklings. I scooped them up (6 of them) about 5 slipped through another neighbors fence and they have big dogs and aren't friendly. There is a duck flying in the air quacking, I'm assuming it's Mama. We're in the subarbs on a culdesac, not the friendliest place for wild ducks. If I put the ducks back outside will Mama come for them? I'm afraid they'll get eaten before she comes back. In the meantime, can they eat chick starter?

AS long as it is not Medicated!! The Medicated type will make ducks very ill and can kill them... Good Luck!

If the feed is all they are getting, they will need extra niacin, also.

Well, I went outside and saw mama duck and daddy duck flying around calling for their babies, so I took all the ducklings outside in my front yard and put them in the grass. Within a minute mama and daddy came swooping down and they all went waddling away. That's even more exciting than finding them, was reuniting them!
