Can ducks and chickens live together?

This depends on the birds. as long as you feed them seperatly they shouldn't have to big of an issue.

I have a trio of pekins that live with my layer flock. Mt big cochin hen who cant jump up to the perch even cuddles up with them for the night. As long as you can keep the ducks in their own little area where they cant get pooped on by roosting chickens you should be fine.

My ducks even eat the same feed as my chickens so that makes it easy too.

I had Cayuga ducks in with my layers. Ducks were fine socially, even cuddled up with a hen that has a lame leg and cannot roost with the other chickens. BUT, remember they do tend to be messy. Leaking water all over and causing wet bedding. Where I live I cannot put the water outside unless I have a heated waterer so they made the inside of the coop a soggy, stinky mess. Loved their antics but chose to go with bantam ducks that will be housed separately.
