Can Eprinex cause skin irritation?

I just put Eprinex(1cc/1ml) on the back of my goose in between her wings yesterday and now it looks like she's losing her feathers in that spot. Also known as topical Ivermectin. Could be from the mating gander, but I'm checking here to see if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks.

I've used Eprinex a long time ago on chickens. I put it on bare skin on the back of the neck with no feather loss issues.
I'll take that as a vote for mating war wounds. Thanks for the response. Things get buried quick in this thread...especially when blokes like me accidentally double post because of slow internet.😬

Here's a photo of the application location of 1ml/1cc where the wings meet. I figured I wouldn't get all the medication down to the skin, so that's why I gave them a little too much medication. It's been 3 days. My female(white) is starting to look awful. Is this from the medication or mating? Feathers look greasy. They do pick at each other's backs during "foreplay". My goose has practically no feathers on her head, but skin is still OK. Are these feathers greasy, or is this what they look like when they're thin? Or, is it from the Eprinex?

It takes Eprinex no more that 15 seconds to absorb through the skin. Even if the Eprinex was placed on feathers, it would disappear in a short time.
I suspect picking and mating as you mentioned.
