I haven't seen it on any poisonous plants list, and its the most (annoyingly) prolific invasive plant species in my area (north Illinois). Can/will goats eat it and is it good for them?

I am not sure, if it isn't poisonous (I have never heard of it, unless we call it something else here) mine will eat just about everything, my neighbor (who lives down the road) asks if I can run them to his fence line every summer to take care of his weeds!

I've never heard of that plant either - I guess you could give your goats a little teeny tiny bit if you aren't sure and see what happens. Same for the milk, offer a little bit and taste the milk the next day.

My goats LOVE buckthorn. We have a lot of it around here and it's the first thing my wether goes for in the woods. I don't milk but I have read that buckthorn will give milk an unpleasant taste. Otherwise it appears to be safe.
