*14 weeks old today*

No crowing yet. Doesn’t fight the others or act “rooish”. It’s really stumping me and so far I’ve had really split responses on it. I’m really not sure what breed she is as I bought her from the assorted color layer bin. Her tail feathers stress me out!

Also, this barred is Kylo. Also bought as an assorted color layer. Might be barred rock, but far larger than my for sure rock. Can hens have the gold color in the neck? Or does that make them more likely to be a roo? Has some feathers missing from back that haven’t grown in since I had them in the brooder a bit ago.

Lastly, George. Alway suspected roo solely for the fact that it acts like one. Suuuuper friendly and always front to the gate. But I’ve been told it’s probably a sapphire gem and they’re just friendly. Looks hen to me, but what do I know.

*also small coop in back is quail coop; we have a much larger coop for chickens*

These birds are old enough to develop male specific feathering such as pointed saddle feathers on the back. They also would likely be crowing by now. I think they are 3 pullets My eyes aren't the best up close, so might wait for a couple more responders.

The RIRish one is a tough call. At 14 weeks I'd expect crowing and more obvious hackle and saddle feathers- so either a pullet or slow-maturing cockerel?

The other two look like pullets. Rainbow layer- looks like some from the Hoover's website, and a Sapphire Gem. These hybrids are hard to keep track of!

Age is def the key here.

Based on George's legs, I'd suspect the green egg from her, and the brown egg from cinnamon. Are you certain those were the culprits?
