Can hens lay fertile eggs sired by their dad?

Sorry, newbie. Any concerns or issues with this? Last year my barred rock rooster mated with a cochin hen (we got one chick) and a New Hampshire red hen ( we got one chick). Both chicks are barred, and laying eggs and he is mating with them. We have a broody cochin sitting on eggs again. What's the risk?

Little risk. People line breed all the time to perpetuate desired traits.
