Can i add in new chickens?

We have had 3 ex-battery chickens for 9mths, how easy would it be to add in another 2 or 3 chickens?

It would probably be OK. the best bet is to put the newbies in a cage in the coop. Let them get used to each other for a week or so. Then, let the new chickens out at night, or during the day with PLENTY of treats.

There will be some jostling for pecking order, so don't worry about a few spats and lost feather. They should settle down in a few days.

Before you ever put new hens with your existing flock, you got to quarantine them about a month so no diseases will get to your girls that you already have. Nothing worse in having bringing in new flock (yes even I would do it but took a BIG risk but know my friends well) and you would end up losing them all. It is a choice you can make either you can take a risk or quarantine them.
