Yep, I think so. I got these guys on Friday and they went directly to the coop. I will have to take the black thing down tomorrow. They are already hopping over it. My little layers didn't do that! They waited at least a week. The daytime highs have been in the 50's and last night's low was 35.

How cute!

Thanks for the pics--it's always good for folks to see a good alternative to the rubbermaid tub in the house

I'm considering making a wire brooding and grow out pen for my coming batch of chicks--I could easily wall in a side or two to keep wind out, and just put it against the barn. I've always used galvanized horse troughs in the barn, but the barn's kinda been taken over by other things, so I'm looking for alternatives. Space is always the challenge!

I have used Ye Olde Galvanized Watertank myself, but the tank has kind of been shoved to the back of a building and filled with stuff and I can't use it right now.
