Hi. I am curious would it be too much to change feed and worm at the same time? I have 6 hens just started laying a month ago and I want to change the brand of feed. They have been on layer. I also suspect worms, haven't seen proof, and I have Rooster Booster wormer I am going to try. They have had diarrhea for a few days. I switched brands a few weeks ago but want to switch them back to the brand they were on. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I haven't used Rooster Booster, but if I change feeds I mix them the first couple of days to lessen the change. You won't always see worms, but getting a fecal test done on a combined fresh sample by your vet may tell you exactly what to treat for. Some worms they carry may be harder to get rid of than others. Dawg53 is a good source for worming chickens, and he usually recommends Valbzen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer, since they are given directly to each chicken by mouth, leaving little doubt that they get the proper dosage.

Ok. I will mix the feed. Probably give them a week or so then I'll worm. Thanks for the wormer info.
