Can I consolidate 2 incubator hatches?

I’m currently incubating 70+ Cotournix Quail eggs in 2 incubators (both are the same type)

I know there’s a lot of debate on not opening the incubator during lockdown but with 35-40 in each, I choose to remove some chicks after about 6-12 hours and put into the brooder. I’ve never had issues with doing it this way and my hatch rates are 80% and up.

I’m wondering if once I get down to 20-30 eggs, can I consolidate both hatches into one incubator? Or is there a bacteria concern with this?
All eggs are from the same hatchery.

Thanks!

If the eggs came from the same hatchery, and the babies will be raised together after hatching, I do not think that combining the last eggs at the end of incubation should cause any issues. (I have no direct experience with this situation, but just thinking about it makes me think it will be fine.)

Why do you want to? So you can unplug one incubator a little sooner?

I have three eggs from my cracker chickens that are in the incubator, it's day 18, one hatched today. We were also given 13 other eggs to hatch that we put into the same incubator. This is our first time trying this, please don't yell at me for this. Once the first baby hatched, I turned off the egg turner so as to not hurt the baby. How long can the others go without turning them? What advice do you have for me for best results for all babies? Thanks in advance!

In general, it works better to start a new thread for your question, rather than adding to an existing thread. You are likely to get more helpful answers that way.
