can i free my chickens?

I have my 4 chickens penned up, if I let them out will they stay around and will they come back to the coop at night and be safe?

How long have they penned up ?

about a year. they will be a year old in may.

Yep they should be fine.. Mine were only in a few months and I havent had any problems.. Mine even put themselves to bed at night..

Just make sure there in a secure coop with a good lock.

Always latch your pop door at night to keep them safe. Just do it when you go out to do your head count each evening.

It's funny, at first they'll be kind of afraid to venture out of the run but a few steps (most likely). But soon they will be exploring all over. Mine love it when I let them out of the run!
