Can I give mama ducks week old babies?

I just went and checked on my ducks nest that two have been sharing.....the eggs are all gone, and I found one broken egg with a baby inside....crows, I know it!

Anyway....I have some week old babies....can I give them to the moms, or will they kill them?

I suggest some caution with it. My experience is that a duck flock will not accept young birds that they didn't hatch themselves.

But ducks very a lot, so you could try it. My Appleyards don't accept new ducks, but they ignore them, not try to drive them away. The Swedish will drive them away.

If the peeps are already a couple of weeks old, then pen them where they can see each other but not touch until they get used to each other.

Thank you, Oregon! I appreciate your response. I feel so bad for the two moms....they keep going back to the pen where their nests and eggs were....they can hear my babies out there, I am not sure if that is why they are going back or not.......I know they don't feel emotions the way we do, but I really do feel bad for them both.
