I've given them hot grain cereal with a little 1/2 1/2 in it on the really cold Vermont (sub-zero) mornings, and they love it. They've had milk/cheese too.
Today I had some extra goat (soft) cheese - it was kind of funny to watch them (once I knew they were going to be ok).....they went nuts over it, and occasionally would look up at me while I was watching them, and they all had various amounts of goat cheese stuck on their beaks.
I was worried they'd asphyxiate, but they seemed to do fine.
