Hello fellow flock raisers, I have a diversity of 6 fledgling ducklings and many questions. I thought I was prepared when I ordered them from Metzer farms and read up on anything and everything duck related, including the niacin and protein issues and I am still having troubles. Everyone appears happy, healthy and very alert I think, but I have two cayugas with shaky legs, the male worse than the female. and found out from a local hatchery that the Dumor duck feed 22 percent was about the same as feeding dogs Old Roy from Walmart. So I switched to Nutrena Naturewise starter grower and I upped the niacin and the male still has it going on. I have a pigeon toed appleyard who used to scoot walk, but now walks better and now I am having bloody wing issues with the black swedish and just had to remove her from the others, which the female cayuga and appleyard was picking at her wound, and is now back in the brooder with the reluctant blue swedish so she wont be lonely until this heals or what else I can do before letting her return to the rest of the flock. There isn't very much info on ducks I am learning, mostly chickens. And I do not know if this is a normal thing with growing their feathers in or do I have an angel wing crisis starting to happen. Any advice, suggestions or even recipes from some duck experts who has seen a thing or two in their time would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you from The Mighty Ducks.

Thank you very much. I hope I came to the right place. I don't know if there is any Backyard duck forums out there but I have been reading some threads about ducks here, so good as place as any to start I think.

Glad to meet you. What beautiful ducks you have. You may want to post your duck health questions to the DUCK FORUM here. There are many folks here who know a lot about ducks (and rarer birds too), but they don't necessarily hang out at the greeting forum.

Best wishes with your poor ducklings, and with all your pl

Thank you Boppo, I'm a little lost. I am not familiar on how to navigate around forums. I will check out the duck forum. Thank you again and very nice to meet you too.
