Have you thought about putting a fence around your porch area? You may need to fence it off for their own good. I keep mine in a large fenced area, so they can only go into certain parts of my yard. So free ranged with boundaries.

That is so precious.

If they often wait by the back door I think putting down those foam puzzle mats where they wait might be helpful.

The grass is so crunchy and the dirt is so hard right now I'm sure that isn't helping. I keep checking out my girls feet expecting bumbles.
