Can I keep meat and layers together from hatching Day??

HI, can I house meat and layers together from hatching day.. I would like to have layers and meats, can they eat the same food in the beginning? and can they live together for the first few weeks or do they need to be separated? this is my first time doing this.

This is my first time doing this as well. I made a post in the meat section. Mine have been together for about a week but I am going to separate them today and buy some flock grower and use that for my meaties as it has a higher protein ratio

I have 6--1 month old meaties together with 12- 2 months old, just fine. However, I am going to separate them now as the meaties are to0 aggressive with the food and crowd the others out. But they are all flockmate buddies, other than the feeding issue there is no problem for a few weeks anyhow.

Your very welome--I'm moving the meaties into their own coop and run tomorrow. Kinda sad as they are very bonded with their flockmates.
