Can I leave newborns in the brooder alone over the weekend?

Hi all! I have a 2-day old and a 1-day old chick in my classroom. Today is Friday and I won't be on campus until Monday. Will the 2 chicks be okay in the brooder over the weekend, or should I take them home with me?

Leave enough food/water and they should be fine. Of course, always best to be there, but the next best thing is air, water and food...❤️

They will need clean water and a constant food supply over the weekend. Can you ensure that in any way?

Also, they need their heat source to be constant. One way to do that is to have two headlamps so that if one goes out the other will stay on.

Other than those constraints, they should be fine!

Heat lamps are not the only way to provide heat...

Thanks for the quick replies! I don't mind bringing them home over the weekend if it is better, but didn't want to stress them out either by moving them.

I have one of those large plastic water/food dispenser filled right now. I'm also using the Premier heat plate instead of a heat lamp to reduce fire hazards.
