Helllo can anyone help me we have 4 chickens got them a week ago and they look really eager to get out into the garden instead of staying in their coop it this to early to let them out also should we let them out if we haven't clipped their wings?
thank you for your help.

great thank you i think the wood chipping around there coop is "calling them"

Yes at that age you can let them out
I let my growers out at about 2 months
Depending on breed
But yea they should be fine
Happy hen keeping!

ill probable be out there tonight chasing them around the garden but that's the whole fun of keeping chickens.

Yes it is lol
Just keep an eye on them
You may need to put them into
Bed for a few days but they will get used to it in a while
Good luck with them
And maybe post some pictures of them when there
Out and around.

Ok thank you, I will do and ill post pictures up soon when there out.

Do you have a run too?
Have they been out in that and go back into coop to roost at night?

Start free ranging late in the day so they only have about an hour before sunset, they will stay pretty close to coop and should go back in to roost. Then start letting them out earlier each evening.

'Chasing' them is not a good idea...you want to train them to come to a rattling can of 'treats'.
