This little one had a bit of a rough hatch. Ended up assisting after 48+hrs post-pip but he's doing so great! Is this fluffed up enough to take him to brooder? It's been about 18hrs since hatching.
Also there are different aged chicks (from a couple days to a couple weeks older) and I don't want them to bully him since he's going to be weaker and younger than the others. But the incubator is getting stinky from the earlier chicks' droppings, so I feel like he needs fresh air asap. Thoughts?

i put them in the brooder wet .. i think they do much better out of the blowing air in an incubator, the only consideration is how the incubator reacts to being opened, if its quick, its not a problem, way i see it .. deoends on how many to id say, if your hatching 50, might not want to be opening the bator 50 times, so use your judgment ...

If he's mostly wet, I'd wait a little longer because you don't want them to chill coming from a warm incubator. I guess that would depend if you had a heat lamp or brooder plate and the brooder location. He wouldn't need much longer to dry off. 😊
