Uh, oh. White paint. Not going to wear well. But to each his or her own. I would not be happy with the amount of maintenance required to keep that coop looking like that picture.

Our indoor bird room has a patterned tile floor that hides seeds, feathers and bird droppings beautifully. We clean daily because we want to, not because the floor looks obviously disgusting if we don't. That's my kind of bird housing.

Somebody posted this recently. She has said that she has to clean the coop daily to keep it that clean. I've got more things to do than clean the coop daily!

Now *that's* a Taj Mahal coop. Since the blog owner is a photographer and invites people to her home to do country photos (I read the blog intro), I bet the coop is a setting for photos from time to time. I thought the story about her daughter designing a coop was very cute.

It looks to me like the chickens are locked in the back part and don't have free reign of the decorated part. If you own chicken, cleaning poo comes with the territory no matter how cute the coop, that's for sure!

Very creative! I can't see how 30 chickens fit in there, but it would be neat to do something like that. I wish I had room to build something larger!

So cute...and so much work! I'm willing to bet she uses it as a backdrop for photos, as well. Otherwise, that is a LOT of work for a relatively small coop area.
