can i prime but not paint???

so i'm painting my frames and cut out wall panels before i hammer them together. my question is, can i prime but not paint surfaces that wont be seen? will i still get adequate protection from moisture?


sooooo sick of priming and painting. now i know why most people don't paint the inside of their coop.

Sure you can, if you don't mind doing things halfway.
It won't be as much protection as doing it correctly

Unfortunately it won't be. The better moisture protection is in the paint. Primer only helps the paint stick.
