Just wondering if I can put chicks that were recently treated for Cocci outside or is it better to wait, and if so how long? They were on Sulmet for two days, now the bottle says to stop for four days then do another day, then stop for four days and one last day. The recommended dosage here on this site seems to be different. I think I'll do what the bottle says and watch them over the next four days. I'm considering only finishing the treatment in the few birds that actually showed symptoms, but don't know if it's a really bad idea not to finish it in the rest who have seemed fine. I just hate to keep using a medication I know is really hard on them when some of them seem to be fine.

Also, can they go outside or should I be keeping them in until I'm sure they're over it? If my soil has Cocci, will exposing them to more of it while they're not done being treated be counterproductive? It's a beautiful day outside, but I don't want to make them sick again when they're all seeming fine!
