can i put chciks from different sources together??

I have week old silkies hatched on 2-9 , well chick day is next Thurs 2-25 and I want to get 2 EEs, is it ok to put them together right away? also i really want them to be green layers what should I look for?

Not advisable- you may get one source that provides a diseased chick, even if there are no symptoms at first.
Cam you wait until your brooder is empty and re-cleaned?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. If you get day-old chicks shipped and hatch some almost the same day, then sure, put them together. However, I would NOT put 2 week old chicks in with day-olds. So, the 2-09 and 2/25 should not go together until the 2-25's are at least a week old and have learned where the food is and how to walk

I'd divide the brooder.
As for wanting green eggs -- do you mean as opposed to brown? Some people think having a pea comb helps make sure you'll have a blue or green egg layer, so don't get any with single combs. However, there are lots of EE's with pea combs who lay brown eggs. Mine all had chipmunk coloring at birth and all layed light green/blue. If you want green as opposed to blue, most EE's lay greenish, so you'll probably be fine.
