Can I raise Chickens in Joliet Illinois?

We live in Joliet, Illinois (incorporated area/Beaver Creek Subdivision). I have been looking at the city's website (http://www.cityofjoliet.info/city-government/Ordinances.htm) to determine if we can actually raise chickens here. I don't really see anything prohibiting it, but then again, I could be missing something. Can someone help point me in the right direction...and if it turns out that we are not able to, how do I help change the ordinances? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks to me like you can keep anything you want as long as you keep it on your property and clean up after it. You have less regulations than our town does and I thought we had the least restrictive laws anywhere. If in doubt, just call the code enforcement office. Tell them that you've read the city code ordinances and want to make sure you have read it correctly and that you are able to keep chickens as long as they are on your property and you clean up after them. They'll either say "yes" or "no".
