Can I raise Cornish Crosses with Road Island Reds?

I wanted to buy cornish crosses at the same time as my RIR. Is it okay for them to brood together? Can they eat the same food? Has anyone ever raised them together? Thanks for your help in advance!

If they are all near the same size , there should not be a problem.
