Hi, I also rinse mine a bit to get the egg white and skin stuff out a bit (usually when I do my dishes), pop the air bubble and either let them dry on a paper towel or I put them in the microwave to dry them up quickly. Then crush them and back into their feed.

I do the same thing as most here have said, it is a good source of calcium and the birds like it too. I also ( when I have an over abundance ) hard boil the eggs grind them up and feed them back with bread and fruit treats. I remember one day I hard boiled 20 doz and fed them back, they didn't touch their feed for 2 days, I never waste an egg.

I feed mine egg shells too. I just crush them up and mix them with whatever treat they are getting that day. Someone once said that if we didn't 'cook' them first the chickens would get a taste for them and start eating eggs, but when I mix it with other stuff they never know what it is. I've been doing it this way for a while now, never have anny problems with egg eating.

yes you can feed them egg shells but they are supposed to be baked and crushed that is how we feed them to our chickens:D

I thought the cooking was a precaution to eliminate any bacteria and the crushing was to keep them from knowing they were eggs(Small brains ya know...).
