I want to put some perches or a jungle jim type thing in my run to keep the birds occupied while they are locked up. Do you have pictures of home-made perches and the like? Thanks.

I put a few tree limbs in mine, but I don't have a pic handy now. I've been meaning to photograph our birds for some gender ID on BYC (I fear our Ameraucauna is a roo

). I'll take a few pics tonight and post 'em.

My limbs aren't anything fancy, but at least they have somewhere to perch while they're confined in their run...

I just have a roost inside the coop since my birds mostly free range.

But maybe something like this in an A frame and a bit smaller. My birds love to jump on top of anything I have outside that they are not supposed to....... the table where I scrub water containers, the truck hood, a dog crate drying in the sun after being washed of all chicken poo and of course, anything just painted!

You can see what I did in mine, I used old tree branches I found around here, and my chickens love them!!! they roost on them during the day to just catch some sleep in the breeze...I can find as many as 8 of them on them at times

Ive also added some INSIDE the coop...I got rope and tied them at angles connected to each other~~Branches inside coop from outside view

Tied together so they dont move and swing

The funny thing is, they now roost above up there and love it because they can see out of the hen house through the front opening and dont use the other reg. roost in there.

~~~IF THEY USE THE BRANCHES, THEY CAN SEE OUT THIS OPEN CHICKEN WIRED AREA, WHICH THEY DO ALOT OF NOW.
Mine LOVE the big branches as well. After eating breakfast they all take a nap and every night at dusk (time this pic was taken) they all are relaxing again before heading into the coop when it gets dark.
