The peacock is something that I have always been deeply interested in, but what type of housing and/or run setups do they require?

What LGD breed do you keep? When planning on your run try to provide at least 150 sq ft per bird. There is a lot more information in the stickies index on housing, care, and feeding.
Awesome, what LGD breed is that? How many birds do you free range? I am trying to figure out how to free range relatively safely and see if I want to invest in breeding Peafowl or not.
Great Pyrenees are the breed. We free-range anywhere from 4 to 14 peas depending on the time of year. Plus two pairs of swans, 15 ducks, and a bunch of guineas and chickens. What LGD breed do you keep?

Wow, that's awesome! I started a thread because I'm having some Chicken & Pea Trouble, maybe you could take a look? I free range the chickens during the day, and I've only got one peacock who is in the coop with them, who I want to come back into the coop at night. I'm having some weird issues though, that my post describes.Great Pyrenees are the breed. We free-range anywhere from 4 to 14 peas depending on the time of year. I’m aware this is an old post but what are the dimensions of the individual rows?At Spring Creek Peafowl we try to provide at least 150 SF per bird minimum. If you need to mow it, then it is big enough.
It's not that old, at least we are still here. I use all 12' boards so the coops and runs are 12', the runs are 12' wide, and the length is 48'I’m aware this is an old post but what are the dimensions of the individual rows?
