Many people who don't want to worry about getting a license make a nice flyer stating anything great about your eggs.

then at the bottom print. Not graded, not for human consumption.


But best to sell to friends, family and co-workers but if you find yourself at the flea market or farmers market you should cover your rear.

I sell to friends for $3 and to strangers for $4 mine are all the labels listed and come in a rainbow pack.

Someone told me today that we had to have certified chickens to sell eggs in Tx. My 11 yr old son has about 50 hens (about 10 are actually laying) they are his hobby and we have a fresh egg sign on the road in front of our house. We get about 4 tp 5 dz a week (if the girls feel like it) Are we gonna get on major trouble?????

In the state of Texas you can sell your eggs at location of your flock without worries as long as they are yours. You have to follow some rules to sell at the Farmers Market & other locations.
