I had a sick guinea recently. He and the rest of the flock are all on antibiotics and he seems to be recovering and I don't think anyone else is sick (not symptomatic at least). I will have them on antibiotics for another week.

My mama hen and her 6 chicks have been separated the entire time, only by a wire fence though, and there was one time I let the chicks and mama into the main yard while the other chickens were out freeranging. It was (of course) the next day that the guinea started acting off.

I have no idea if I even can give chicks this young antibiotics (they are around 2 weeks old) or if I even should. I don't want to lose them, but I also don't know that they have had enough contact to even contract a disease.

thanks!
