Hi all! Ugh. Very annoyed. I made a post on Facebook advertising 12 fertile Silkie eggs, with no response for a couple days. I was afraid the eggs would be a little too old if I waited a few more days, so I put them in the incubator. Lesson learned.. Now somebody is asking for them, but they’re already in the incubator.

They’ve only been in the incubator for a few hours, so could I take them out and sell them to her? I’m assuming I probably can’t, but I wish I could. I’d rather not incubate them if possible.

Rant over. ;)
Thanks all in advance!

How long have they been incubating?
I see no problem if the recipient is aware these eggs have a head start, the egg's are kept warm in transport and the receiving Bator is ready.
A few hours, maybe 8-10? It’ll probably be 24 hours by the time I get a response back from her. Is that too late?

Odd thought, but do you think it would work if she set up her incubator in her car, transferred them into it, and took it home?

Thank you!

As long as the egg's are kept warm and still in the car, I don't think the car set up would be necessary, unless the drive is over a few hours. Hens do leave the nest, if she sets up her Bator now or in the morning, then goes to get the egg's, keeps them warm and not rolling around, I think they'll be OK.
I'm sure they'll be more experienced hatchers that can tell you exactly what to do if they show up. There might be a thread somewhere that says the minimum temp the egg's can tolerate

Thank you so much!
