Can i use pine shavings for button quail?

Hi, i was wondering if in can use pine shavings for button quail, i know cedar shavings are bad but can I use pine shavings? They just seem like a cheap and widely available option for bedding.
Any replies are appreciated!

Yes, you can but I prefer Aspen shavings. Earthy smell, and don't stink as bad as pine does when dry or wet.

Regarding cedar shavings, I've heard both pro and con, that they aren't harmful, and others claim they are harmful but I don't use cedar so I don't have any experience with them as a bedding material.
