Hi everyone, im kind of new here and I got this problem running right through my head its about my pigeons they just laid last July 2, 2012. And to start I got my pair of pigeons (1 checkerd + 1 Bluebar) and I got another one which is white she's actually all alone so this is the situation my white pigeon just mated with my checkrd which is the male coz I know its breeding season here in manila, and they mated but my chckrd got a pair and they also are mating, so both of the hens layed at the same time, but my white hen got no pair what will I do with her eggs?? i actually tried putting one of her eggs on my paired pigeon. But i dont know if it will gonna be hatched. Thank you for responding, Ramy :)

If the cockbird mated with the single hen, then yes, they will probably be fertile. Did they lay in the same nest or separate nests? If separate nests, the cockbird will pick one hen to share nest duty with and the other will be on her own. The lone hen can hatch the eggs by herself but will be quite run down trying to feed two babies by herself. The babies will very likely be stunted and weak, more than likely one overtaking the other and the runt dying unless you step in to help hand feed them. If the two hens are in the same nest, then all three will incubate the eggs and all three will feed the babies. But you may have to help out if the parents favor certain babies and some become stunted.
