My 1 year old rooster died today from an ongoing impacted crop that, besides my best efforts, wasn’t going down. I could feel some kind of pebbles inside of his crop that I could tell was the cause. This is unusual because our yard has absolutely no kind of pebbles or rocks that I know of. This has also never happened before.
Today while feeding I noticed that the oyster shells were about the same size as what I felt inside of my baby’s crop. It could be a coincidence but is there anyway that he could’ve eaten these oyster shells and were just unable to pass them?!
