Can Pigeons Use Nipple Waterers?

I have 5 pigeons that are arriving on Friday next week. I have a 8 x 16 aviary and 4 x 3 coop. I don't know where to buy pigeon supplies, but was wondering if they could use the avian nipple waterers? I do have a chicken type waterer if they can't. Thanks a lot!! Melissa

i'm not sure about the nipple waterers because pigeons don't drink like chickens, they dip their beaks and suck up the water without having to lift their heads, you can use chicken waterers but they poop a lot in them, you can use an old milk jug and cut holes inthe sides so they can stick their heads in it and drink, that beats buying pigeon waterers, new england pigeon supply has some nice stuff
