Can red spider mites harm chickens?

I have red spider mites near the chickens fencing, and was wondering if the red spider mite harm the chickens at all.:/

I just had a BIG spider mite infestation near my coop. Did you ever get any responses to your red spider mite post? What did you end up doing?

No, i got ignored. But I just used seven dust on them and on the chickens . Just to make sure it was not anything they could get.
