I bought an 9200 little giant still air incubator, and it did not come with the forced air fan kit. I ordered it, Dumb question is that inportant?

The fan gives a more even temp throughout the bator. Many ppl including myself have successfully hatched eggs without a fan...in a still air incubator.

I would try the incubator as is. If you have a bad hatch perhaps buy the fan / upgrade kit for it. But you will most likely be fine without it...just my opinion.

Some folks make a fan themselves.... you can probably find several sets of plans or instructions here on the forum if you do a search.

Good luck !!

I ordered the fan kit, it will be here wednesday, and my eggs will be here monday.
I was going to leave my eggs alone without even opening them until I get my bator at to maintain an even temp.

I would open the eggs and check for breakage and spoilage etc... Also, you need to store them with the big end up while waiting on your fan to arrive. If the eggs are going to be older than 7 days by the time you set them, you GREATLY reduce your hatch rate chances.

that will probally be ok if the eggs arent too old by the time they get you, they need to sit awile anyway before you put them in the bator ,but if the bator is all regulated then you might want to go ahead and incubate without the fan this time,6-1,1/2 dozen to the other
