can someone answer this question please

I have a day old chick that is yellow, to light brown with two dark brown stripes on its back. Can someone tell me what kind of chick it could be?

Could be a dozen different types. Pics would be helpful. Do you know any history of the chick and where it came from?

I ordered the eggs from ebay.
Suposed to be either a
road island red
black sex link
buff orpington
ee
I know that it is not an ee cause those two eggs did not hatch. I don't expect this chick to mak it, and my nine year old will not take it to well. I know that I should tell her the truth but I have to much happening in my life now

I'll still go with the EE because it doesn't sound like any of the others.

It came from a tinted brown shell

In that case it's a RIR!

Buff orps are solid orangie yellow, black sexlink are black with a white accents.

I'd say a RIR, if you are sure those are the possibilities.
Why do you think it won't make it?

I had to help it hatch on sunday, it is really weak and wont eat. It had an eye issue cause the other chick pecked it. It just sits there with its eyes shut. I have seen animals knocking at deaths door before. It would be a miracle if this chick makes it. I had some eye ointment from when my granddaughter was born, I put that on it and I am not telling what else I did cause I got laughted at on a different posting, but it did seem to help

That's what I was thinking, too. I've never seen stripes on a RIR chick.
