Im not even really sure what its called but can someone help to explain to me all the genotypes that go into each color of ameraucana. Im trying to write a paper about ameraucana genetics and the color genes got me confused.

There are eight recognized colors for the Ameraucana:

Black: E/E(Extended Black), Ml/Ml(Melanotic), probably gold sex linked gold s+/s+
Blue: E/E(Extended Black), Ml/Ml(Melanotic), Bl/bl+(Heterozygous Blue) probably sex linked gold s+/s+
Blue wheaten: eWh/eWh(Wheaten), Bl/bl+ and sex linked gold s+/s+
Brown red: ER/ER(Birchen) sex linked gold s+/s+
Buff: eWh/eWh(Wheaten), Co/Co(Columbian restrictor), Mh/Mh(Mahogany), Di/Di(Dilute), sex linked gold s+/s+
Silver: e+/e+(Wildtype) and sex linked Silver S/S
Wheaten: eWh/eWh(Wheaten) and sex linked gold s+/s+
White: Recessive White can hide any pattern but the research I've done would say that the best lines come from Extended Blacks, so they will be E/E(Extended Black), Ml/Ml(Melanotic), c/c(recessive white) and probably gold based s+/s+

Thank you this is what I was looking for. Can you explain sorta what the melanotic, wildtype and columbian restrictor genes are? are they colors like the other gene names are you listed?

Justo leave them in their wildtype Status(+ sign)
Do you by any chance know the color genes for self blue, isabel coloring, lavender cuckoo and mottled would be. I know they are not recognized colorings but curious about them as well.

Self Blue/Lavender: E/E, Ml/Ml, lav/lav

Isabel: e+/e+, lav/lav, s+/s+

Lavender Cuckoo: E/E, Ml/Ml, B/B

Mottled: E/E, Ml/Ml, mo/no

You should really start using the calculator as this is My last post here

Is this true in every case of self blue Ml/Ml ? Or are there some without Ml/Ml?
