Can someone help with a click counter?

Okay so maybe this is not the place to ask about these things but I like you people and you are all so smart. I need one of those little things that counts how many times someone has clicked on your page or your ad. Is this a free type of thing and is it easy to put on an ad? I am not a computer genius or anything so if it is something where I have to read some codes or write some codes or break into something weird to do then I will just skip it. Thanks in advance for an info.

Not sure about placing them in adds but I use this counter for my site. http://www.amazingcounters.com/ It's easy to use and free, although you do have to put a small text add in your page for them. And then Clustrmaps is free with no adds, but only for up to 2,500 people. Then you have to buy the advanced version.
