After my chick massacres, I decided to adopt 30 poultry farm chickens that were going to be destroyed. They are quite happy in their new home, and seem to be healthier. They are loving the veggies We are givng them, and we are trying to get them used to going outside.
However, 2 of them came to me with crooked toes. All of their claws are terribly long, I would imagine because they were stuffed in to tiny wire cages. The two are limping and/or hopping around and it looks painful. Any suggestions or do they have to be put down?
