Can someone tell me if these are hens or roos

We are new to chickens and got these from someone. We were told they were silkies but I am thinking they may be a mix? I'm not sure if they are possibly hens or roos. I know they are hard to tell but I was hoping to get some kind of advice. They seem to fight with each other all the time.

Definitely mixes because they have the smooth barbed feathers which silkies do not have. The light coloured bird looks to be a roo but I'm not sure about the dark one. How old are they?

Definitely Silkie mixes, hence the smooth plumage. They're to die for!

How old? Second bird appears to be a handsome cockerel.
