I bought a new hen (9 months old) about 5 days ago. She is isolated from my other hens, but can still see them. She is very stressed acting and the other hens get loud and aggressive every time they see her through the fence. The new hen is eating well and drinking well, but just acts stressed overall and is having a hard time adjusting to her new coop. She has not laid an egg for the past 5 days (even though she was laying before I brought her home). She is starting to look poofy and swollen below her vent. Could she be egg bound? Can stress cause this? Or, am I just being overly paranoid and she is just taking her time in adjusting?

Thanks for any input and help.

Hens usually don't continue laying in a new location. They take a break so what your seeing is really quite normal. She will start up again when she is settled in.
