can the pullet eat layer feed

is it ok to feed a pullet layer pellets even if shes not laying? I wasn't told how old she was when i got her so she could be any were from 3 to 6 months im thinking

Hello-

You don't want to feed a young pullet layer feed before the age of 20 weeks. The extra calcium could be harmful. Now, I know you're not sure of the age, but if you think she's at least five months old, then I would start with the grower feed.
