I had forgotten about this old hutch that has just been sitting in the tree line. It measures 3X3 and has a nest box attached that is 2X3. It is divided down the middle so it has 2 sections that are about 18 inches wide. I need to decide if I want to remove the divider and have one area. Or leave it as is and add a divided run. It will be used for silkies. I was thinking a breeding trio on each side? Any opinions

I would think so. If it were mine, I'd cut the legs off and add wheels.

Nice find! I've been all ovewr my property looking for useful chicken stuff and have not found anything.

That'll work. A bit tight for 6 birds, IMHO, but thats your call. Just add some wheels, refresh that which needs it and paint it - always paint. And there you go.

Your right that is a bit tight. What was I thinking? I think I will remove the divider, add a run and use it for 3 silkies. I like to put my 4 week old chicks outside on sunny days, this could also be their daytime tractor.
