My chickens are by far so much louder than the Turkey. Some days I’m embarrassed at what the neighbors thinkYou haven't heard my hens. They are loud and demanding.
I have a call duck that yells at me every time I see her so I think I am trained for a turkeyTurkeys can be very loud.
The Toms gobble when they hear a whistle, a yell, or just loud sound in general.
The hens do make their own sounds but not as loud as a gobble.
They can be VERY chatty.
And if you hand raise them as pets, they will be Velcro pets standing at your front door or window calling for food or petting or just because.
And always under foot when you are outside. Although when you aren’t, they can roam. If you plan on getting a heritage breed, they can fly. And I mean over a fence.
Their eyesight is amazing even as chicks. So in their brooder, when you walk anywhere they can see you, they will get loud until you go to them.
