Is it possible to breed out the shredder gene my Isabel ameracauna by crossing them with birds that do not have it? Say a complete different breed?

I’m new to this platform so I apologize if you saw my reply but just in case see above. Thank you for your knowledge!Yes, it's been bred out of most quality lines of Ameraucana.
You don't need another breed, you just need Black (or for Isabels, Wheaten works too).
The shredder gene is linked to Lavender, so the idea is to breed Lav splits with quality feathering, periodically crossing them to check the fully Lav feather quality.
The breeders that worked on it in Ams put so much effort into the project that it might be worth it to just source new blood.
Where are you located? The Isabel Ams I got from the breeder in Florida have really smooth good feathering.
I only know of one other serious breeder in California. Not sure what their quality is like.
I’m actually just trying to do Olive Eggers but I’d hate to bring that nasty gene into it. Do you think if I just crossed it to say a Marans or Rhode Island or another OE it would work to get rid of it? It’s just a mini hobby breeding so the offspring is just for me . Thanks for the awesome quick reply!

No I was just trying for fun egg colorsNot in a single generation, no. Maybe not even in many, it takes a lot of breeding work. However, first generation offspring wouldn't be Lavender / Isabel, so they wouldn't show shredding. Is that the color you're going for?
Who did you get yous from? I may end up selling what I have of my lavender Ameraucana and go this direction as they have the shredder gene.Yes, it's been bred out of most quality lines of Ameraucana.
