Can you feed chickens sunflowers whole??

I know you can feed them seeds but is it all right to feed them a full size sunflower just cut it off and give it to them? Thanks

Yep, they love them. I cut off the whole flower and throw it to them.

Thank you for your replies a farm I work at has a whole field of them I think for doves hunting or something but surely they will not mind loosing a few. Just did not know if then could eat them whole.

IM actually growing my own organic sunflower..I plan on puting a post in the run and then tie the flower to a pice of twine kinda like a teather ball.
make it a fun thing to do for them..
