I ordered the surprise pullet special from Ideal Poultry, they are now 4 1/2 weeks old. Can you help me identify the breeds please. I would really appreciate any input and experience I can get.

I just love them all of course i haven't named them all yet as I have 23. We just finshed the chicken yard a few days ago and they are just loving it.

Well Alice looks like a welsummer. And Gracie + Lacey look like andalusians. Those are my guesses and I'm not positive on them.

Gosh what a bunch of cuties.

My gut guess is that Missy and Miss Kathy are Golden Campines and that Miss Poppit is an Exchequer Leghorn.

Oh, and I can't tell what kinds of combs some of these guys have. Any of them with a rose comb, like Gracie, could be Hamburgs.

And it looks like Alice and Lil Bit have slate legs which is wrong for a Welsummer, so I would have to guess Phoenix, but that's just a guess.

its really hard when it comes to ideal because they have so many breeds were these large foul or bantam pullets? i think the blue ones might be blue andalusian the black and white ones might be ancona or exchequer leghorn, might have some pheniox in there as well

They are reg size pullets not Bantams.

Oh my goodness I would love to have 2 Blue Andalusian's, I think they are so beautiful. But then I think all my chikie's are beautiful. Thank you all for your input and knowledge on this subject. I'm new at this. I'm just so excited Welsummers, golden Campines ohh and exchequer leghorn (gosh I don't even know what that one is) and maybe pheniox..wow .....I'm just soo eggcited....

My Easter Eggers from Ideal looked just like Lil' Bit. Ideal sometimes puts out EEs without beards or earmuffs.
the only have beards not muffs

and 99% of the time have pea combs not straight combs although its possable, and most hatchery ee's have green legs not slate legs as well ;-)
