In the Brooder
So back in January, my grandma showed up with day old girls. I was told that two were RIR , two barred rock, and one was unknown. We called the farm store and they said the yellow girl was a Cornish x, but they weren't certain because they were just going off of our description that she was yellow like an easter chick. we never intended to have a butcher hen, so we've just been raising her with the other four and my son has taken a liking to her.She is 12ish weeks old now and not really any bigger than the other girls. I do give her regular chick starter, so she isn't getting what you'd normally give a Cornish. And as i am new to raising chicks i do not know, but any pictures I've seen they all seem to be white. Is that really what they look like? I am wondering if she is not actually a Cornish x. Would anyone know by looking at her?
